A small company with big commitment
Unna was started and run by us, Vendela and Linnea. Friends, mothers and entrepreneurs. We offer infant formula and complementary foods that – in addition to meeting high demands regarding composition and nutritional content – are also locally produced and organic.
But we also want to contribute to increased sensitivity and understanding of parents' different experiences regarding issues of breastfeeding and replacement. All to create security for the new parent and the child.

We are driven by creating value within our niche, replacement – partly by delivering a high-quality product, but also by standing for renewal within a category that lacked just that. We want to be a brand to relate to, one that sees and highlights the real problems and challenges you can face in the early days with a child, especially when it comes to breastfeeding and bottle feeding.
We are parents ourselves and understand the challenges that come with parenthood. We know that everyone's situation is different and are eager to challenge old truths and contribute to a climate without prejudice or judgment. We believe that humility and support create security for the new parent.

As a new mom, you can be so full of emotions that they overflow and flutter around you freely. You want to give your baby everything. If you want to breastfeed, but can't make it work, it can feel like a failure. Like you're a worse parent. Trust us; your ability to be a good parent has nothing to do with whether you breastfeed or not.
Children who receive formula have the same opportunities to feel good as children who are breastfed. With Unna, we want to take the edge off the stress and drama surrounding breastfeeding. We want to help ensure that formula is seen as a good plan – as a complement to breastfeeding or as the only food. Formula can actually be the best solution for everyone involved.
The right to a safe childbirth
Around the world, a new baby is born every three seconds, under all kinds of circumstances. With the Safe Start initiative, we want to create a common cause to stand behind: the right to a safe birth.
