How to prepare Unna substitute in 8 easy steps
Dosage is done with tablespoon measurements (1 tablespoon = 6.5 g), and it is important that the measurements are lined up.
Note:Unna's products do not include any included measuring cups, for environmental reasons.
Step 1
Wash your hands.
Step 2
Make sure the baby bottle, measuring cup and saucepan are clean.
Step 3
Bring cold water to a boil. Let cool to eating temperature (finger-warm).
Step 4
Measure the water in the baby bottle.
Step 5
Add the correct amount of powder to the bottle. Remember to use measured amounts.
Step 6
Close the bottle and shake/mix until the powder dissolves.
Step 7
Test the mixture to make sure it is not too hot by dripping a little on the inside of your wrist. Taste it yourself before giving it to your baby. Feed the baby in your arms.
Step 8
Serve the formula, complementary food or milk drink freshly prepared. Any leftovers should not be saved.
