February is often a time when everyday life slowly begins to brighten up again. The days become longer, the pace a little slower, and there is room for little moments of coziness amidst all the practicalities.

Semlor is part of this era, but for small children a milder and more adapted version is better suited. That's why we have developed a semmel porridge Unna's way, with flavors of cardamom and almond, without added sugar and developed with simplicity and safety in focus.

The recipe is based on our organic porridge and can be easily adapted to the child's age and what you are used to at home.

Ingredients:

  • Unnas organic porridge (choose the one that suits your child)
  • Water
  • Cardamom
  • Optional salt and honey for children over 1 year old

Toppings:

  • Almond butter
  • Toasted almond flakes/chopped almonds (see tips for children under 1 year old)
  • Optional skimmed milk
  • Organic Greek yogurt 10%

Do this:

  1. Prepare the porridge according to the package instructions to the desired consistency.
  2. Top with almond butter, almond flakes, Greek yogurt and possibly skimmed milk.
